Moving to a new Mac

Data in iCloud Drive

1. Install Vaultyn on the new Mac.
2. Click Open sync file on the lock screen and choose vault-sync.json in iCloud Drive.
3. Enter your master password.

Data stored locally

1. Copy the whole data folder from the old Mac to the new one (USB drive, AirDrop or Migration Assistant all work).
2. Install Vaultyn on the new Mac, click Open sync file on the lock screen and choose the copied vault-sync.json.
3. Enter your master password.

Attachments and website icons are in the same folder, so they come along.

Before giving away or selling the old Mac

Once everything works on the new Mac, delete the data folder and Vaultyn from the old one. The data is encrypted, but deleting it gives extra peace of mind.
