Getting started
- Set a master password and keep the recovery key somewhere safe (you can print it).
- Choose a data folder. To use several Macs, put it in iCloud Drive or another cloud drive.
- Add accounts, or import from another password manager.
FAQ
On the lock screen, click “Forgot master password?” and reset it with your recovery key. If the recovery key is lost too, the data cannot be opened — we can’t help either.
Install Vaultyn on the new Mac, click “Open sync file” on the lock screen, choose vault-sync.json in your cloud drive and enter your master password.
Click “Restore from backup” on the lock screen and pick a daily backup from the backups folder inside your data folder.
Delete your data folder, clear the locally stored data in Settings, then delete the app. We hold none of your data, so there is nothing else to request.
